Is there a clear weight limit for women using NuvaRing? #417/11
Is there a weight limit with NuvaR\ring as there is with the patch (198 lb)?

NO, there is not a weight limit concern with NuvaRing use in very heavy women, but we do NOT actually know the effectiveness numbers for the use of NuvaRing in very heavy women.

Here is a very positive approach to this issue:

Have very heavy women put in their ring each month on one date (for example no the first), remove the ring each month two days before the first.

Use of the ring for all but 2 days each month increases the effectiveness of this approach to contraception.  This even saves the woman using NuvaRing money.

Does this make sense?
