Can Ortho Tri-Cyclen and Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo be used as emergency contraception? #749/7

Can Ortho Tri-Cyclen be used as an emergency contraceptive? I read on here that Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo can. What is the difference betweent the two? How many and what color of pills should be taken?

Thanks for all the great help. This site is amazing for both men and women! Keep up the good work!!!

We do not have data on the 2 pills you mention as emergency contraceptive pills.  Moreover, Plan B is significantly more effective that any combined pills as emergency contraceptives.  I would not recommend the use of Ortho Tri-Cyclen or Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo pills as emergency contraception.

Through any Planned Parenthood you can easily get Plan B should you have difficulty getting Plan B over the counter in your community.

Key Words:  Ortho Tri-Cyclen, emergency contraception, Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, difference, Plan B, effective, Planned Parenthood
