Last year, I used CHOICES as the primary resource for teaching contraception to 9th and 10th graders (14-17 years old). CHOICES is an excellent resource for anyone who wants to help others become more informed about reproductive health or learn more themselves. The easy to follow layout allows it to be used as a quick reference guide by students or patients; the breadth and depth of information makes it a comprehensive stand-alone resource for teaching about contraceptive choices in any academic setting. Parents will appreciate the excellent diagrams and straightforward information when looking for ways to start conversations with their teens.

Finally! What we need for EVERY North Carolina health district.A comprehensive text regarding EVERY method of contraception in an easily readable and presentable form, CHOICES, from Dr. Robert Hatcher. I have personally reviewed CHOICES and view it as an OUTSTANDING tool to educate and inform both our Family Planning staffs in North Carolina as well as our patients. CHOICES covers every method of birth control, including dual methods and even abstinence. Keeping up to date with current LARC methods is a priority for us in the Family Planning field and this text (in a magazine-like format) even provides an exceptional illustration of the female physiology.
